Condition

This early, somewhat cool-toned print, is in generally very good condition. This print may have been varnished, as faint swirling streaks are visible in raking light. Also visible in raking light are the following: a 4-inch vertical scratch that does not appear to break the emulsion in the lower left quadrant; and various small, insignificant surface scratches overall. The print is on an off-white, almost grey, slick mount, with green paper backing. The mount corners are bumped and there is light rubbing and soiling along the edges. There are abrasions to the top paper-ply in the upper corners and along the upper mount edge. On the reverse of the mount, 'MBI/015' is in an unidentified hand in pencil.
