a unique object, chromogenic print, signed, dated, and annotated with a quote from Karen Blixen in black and white inks on the image, collaged with portraits of Karen Blixen and Kamante Gatura and blood, framed, 1978, printed in 1994 (Adventures and Misadventures, unpaginated; Photofile, pl. 59, variant without collage)
Condition
This print, on Agfa paper, is in generally very good condition. The signature and date, 'October 31, 1994,' are in black ink and are inscribed on the image of the photographer's hand, which is in the lower right corner of the image.
The quote, in white ink and running along the right edge of the photograph, is from Karen Blixen and reads: "When the wildlife is gone, the next biggest thrill will be able to be found in the middle of the biggest cities."
In the image of the left diary page, dated October 13, 1978, the following are found:
