rond, le recto avec un profil en ivoire d'un écrivain accompagné d'une plume et d'un encrier sur une pile de livres, dans un cadre en buis finement sculpté de lauriers, le verso sculpté du monogramme ARG dans une guirlande extrêmement raffinée de fleurs, la monture en or doublé ciselée de feuilles d'acanthe.

Condition
The frame is gold-cased with gold loops; some traces of damp below the glass on each side; condition of wax and carving excellent.
Dr Arabella Cifani, curator of the Accorsi foundation in Turin, has seen this medallion and said it was by Bonzanigo.
