the ivory sleeve carved in high relief with a stag hunt, the lid and base with painted mythological vignettes including Europa and the Bull,  the Three Graces, Venus and satyrs, on a black enamel ground decorated with raised gilded roses, within openwork borders, winged caryatid handle and gladiator finial, on paw feet, apparently unmarked

Condition

Generally very good condition, with slight touching up to white enamel on handle. The carving of the ivory is particularly spirited, one screw loose. Would benefit from professional cleaning.
