Catalogue Note

For a parcel-gilt silver reliquary of St Gildas with similarly stamped borders and crudely riveted hand, from the 13th- 14th century, probably Vannes (Brittany), see Les Orfèvres de basse Bretagne, Les Cahiers du Patrimoine, 1994, p. 211.
