le pied rond bordé d'une moulure de feuilles d'eau, le fût gravé à deux reprises d'armoiries, les mêmes armes gravées sous le pied, gravée également à l'intérieur du pied 5m 2o 2g, l'abat-jour ovale en métal (une bobèche manquante)

Condition

In overall good condition. Scratches on the base, gilding very slightly wor on the base. The shade with stains and worn gilding. As mentioned in the catalogue, fitted for electricity (footrim and arms pierced) and one nozzle missing. Engraved three times with Cambacérès coat-of-arms (twice on stem and once under the base). Engraved with weight 5m 2o 2G inside the base. Marks: On footrim: title and guarantee legible On stem: maker and community difficult to read On nozzle: maker and community, each twice, title On socket:s one with guarantee , one with title Very nice piece

Catalogue Note

Jean-Jacques-Régis de Cambacérès (1753-1824) fut deuxième consul aux côtés de Napoléon Bonaparte puis, dès 1804 prince-archichancelier de l'empire. Il reçoit le titre de duc de Parme en 1808, titre auquel il doit renonçer à la chute de l'empire. Il portera alors le titre de duc de Cambacérès.
