la première, en vermeil, le couvercle serti d'une micromosaique: deux paysannes dans la campagne romaine, les bordures et la bâte ciselés d'une frise de fruits et feuilles, le dessous guilloché, William Lea & Co., Birmingham, 1819; la seconde en granit, le couvercle serti d'une miniature à l'huile représentant des ruines, la monture en métal doré, Rome, vers 1830

the first silver-gilt, the lid inset with a micromosaic view of the Roman campana, two peasant girls in the foreground, the border and sides chased with a frieze of fruits and leaves, the base engine-turned, William Lea & Co., Birmingham, date letter V in a shield ; and a green granit box, the lid inset with a miniature in oils on paper of antique ruins, gilt-metal mounts, Rome, circa 1830

Condition

First: micromosaic with a few small losses, small dents on box to right of thumbpiece, and also on back corner of top at one o'clock, second : cracked on right side of lid with two small portions missing.
