Engraving, 1827, from Illustrations to Dante's Divine Comedy, a very early, fine impression from Linnell's 1838 edition, printing with burr, on India paper supported on wove paper

Condition

With margins, the image in good condition , two pale glued (?) stains at left corners, a horizontal tear at centre of right edge of support sheet (circa 80mm) not affecting the image, the support sheet with some scattered pale foxmarks and occasional handling creases, unframed.
