Condition
The support consists of a single panel which has been bevelled on all four edges and which has a slight convex bow, there is a 1 cm wide and 5 cm long loss to the panel in the upper left corner.
The paint surface is secure, although somewhat abraded particularly in the darker pigments, under an even varnish.
Scattered old discoloured retouchings are visible to the naked eye, most notably in the left hand side of the face and the darks if the background. Inspection under UV light is impeded by the aforementioned varnish.
