Condition
The support consists of three vertical panels cradled to the reverse. There is an old vertical crack running down from the top edge in the central panel about ¾ of the length of the painting. The paint surface is generally in good condition if a little worn and under a yellowed varnish. Inspection under UV light reveals some minor scattered retouchings under the varnish and a larger are of repaint in the dark of the background to above and to the right of the sitter.
