Condition
The canvas has been laid on board which has flattened the paint surface. There are some signs of old minor scattered losses although these are now secure and scattered old retouching work is visible to the naked eye under a dirty varnish.
These are confirmed under UV light which reveals more significant are of old repaint in St Jerome’s red robe.
Offered in a wood and plaster painted gold frame in good condition.
