Condition

STRUCTURE Both pictures are on copper panels, each of which is in good condition and maintaining a flat and stable support for the pictures. PAINT SURFACE Both paintings appear to be in very good condition. There is some extremely minor frame abrasion along the lower edges of both pictures, however there is no apparent further damage or loss of paint. ULTRAVIOLET Examination under ultraviolet light reveals scattered minor old retouching, predominantly in the sky, in both pictures, as well as a thick varnish overall. FRAME Both held in matching gilded frames.
