The picture is more turquoise than blue in colour than the catalogue illustration would suggest. The paper appears to be glued with adhesive at the corners to a backboard which is surmounted by a non acidic mount which has no contact with the paper. The sheet itself remains intact in it's entirety and the paint surface appears to be in good overall condition with no apparent damage or loss of paint except for very minor abrasion visible in the top left and top right hand corners as can be seen in the catalogue illustration. The sheet appears to have suffered from some light staining, noticeable in the yellow of the sky upper right and the colours of the costumes have faded slightly as a result. There is also what appears to be some minor foxing in the sky upper right and centre left, both of which can be seen in the catalogue illustration along with two very minor flecks of surface dirt in the upper left hand corner. The sheet has not been retouched, Offered in carved gilt wood frame in good condition.
