Description

  • Isaac van Duynen
  • A still life with fish, an upturned crab, oysters, cockles and muscles, a ray, a lobster, turbot and haddock, all on a table in an interior
  • oil on canvas

Condition

The canvas has a firm but ineffective relining. The paint surface is secure with some well preserve details, although it is somewhat thinned and abraded in the darker areas of the background, under a glossy varnish. Inspection under UV light reveals some scattered retouchings. Offered in a plain wooden frame in good condition.
