first edition, first issue, without the plate number on the title, 85 pages, oblong 4to (23 x 32.8cm), elaborate decorative title-page, engraved music, half-moon watermarks with "SOT'IMPERIAL", "FV" etc., manuscript annotation to title ("N.74"), some pencil annotations, stitching holes, modern half calf, without the separate violin part, title-page laid down and affixed to second leaf with translucent adhesive tape, small tears to final leaf repaired, thumb-marks, very slight staining to some leading edges, a few small stains
