folio (318 x 228mm.), 21 woodcut illustrations, including one full-page woodcut of the Pantheon, text comprising ancient Roman inscriptions, many set within woodcut ornamental or architectural borders, contemporary Roman black goatskin, blind-tooled with arabesque centrepiece surrounded by two different roll-tolled borders, outlined with blind fillet borders and filled with small leafy tools, modern red morocco display case, some slight browing and spotting, hinges very slightly worn, lacking ties
