Catalogue Note
This is the rare first issue of the score of Beethoven's Fourth Symphony, no copy of which is recorded at the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn, and only one copy in Britain. The more commonly-found second issue with the title "4me Grande Simphonie" was apparently issued later the same year. The work was published in orchestral parts in 1808, but that set is practically unobtainable on the market.
