- length: 51cm.; 20in.
- Conceived in 1970, the present work is unique.
Literature
Dieter Blume, Anthony Caro - Catalogue Raisonné Vol. I: Table and Related Sculptures 1966-1978, Verlag Galerie, Cologne, 1981, cat. no.88, illustrated p.185.
Condition
Structurally sound.
There is very minor surface dirt and surface matter to the work. On the front of the curved right hand element it appears that the lacquered varnish has been applied in a slightly uneven manner, visible in further isolated area and inherent to nature of the working materials. There are further surface grazes, marks and tiny scratches visible to the underside at the point which the structure meets the surface. These are not visible when the work is standing. There are further very minor areas of grazing to the lacquer, visible to one edge of the underside. Areas of the metal are covered by a dark speckled pattern, which is inherent to the medium and visible in the catalogue illustration. This excepting the work appears to be in very good condition.
