Condition

Original canvas. There is a minor protrusion along the lower edge. There are one or two very minor lines of craquelure including to the tower near the centre of the upper edge and spots of paint separation to the brown pigment above the doorway on the left and to the black pigment in the archways on the right. There are one or two specks of brown surface matter, but otherwise the work appears in good overall condition. Under UV light there appear to be no signs of retouching.
