Condition
Stable board.
There are very slight signs of abrasion to the extreme edge of the work. This seems to be inherent with the nature of the artist's board. There are nail heads visible around the edges.
There is minor surface dirt to the work. There is a further, very old, minor diagonal surface scratch towards the centre of the composition, but this excepting the work appears to be in very good condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals specks of retouching which correspond to the aforementioned nail heads, with an additional fleck to the right of the thick black line towards the centre of the composition and one or two further very minor flecks elsewhere to the surface.
Housed in a thin wooden frame, with a narrow painted wooden mount.
