Catalogue Note
In 1980 Naqsh was awarded the Shakir Ali Award followed in 1982 by an award for 20 years contribution to art from the Arts Council of Pakistan. This jewel like painting is comparable to another oil of similar size and composition that Naqsh also painted in 1981, illustrated in Jamil Naqsh, A retrospective, 2003, p. 221, no. 209.
