à décor de rinceaux et médaillons, le cadran en émail et laiton ciselé et repoussé sur fond de velours rouge, la caisse surmontée d'un dôme ceint d'une balustrade ajourée et couronné de pots à feu, et flanquée de pilastres ioniques, reposant sur des pieds toupie ; le cadran signé Louis Baronneau à Paris et le mouvement signé A Paris / Joseph Baronneau (cadran et mouvement associés)

Marquetry in good condition despite minor patch restorations.
As stated in the catalogue, movement and case later associated.
Dial velvet replaced, numeral VII chipped, VIII and IX replaced, hair crack to III, good hands.
Movement has convertion from verge to anchor escapement, bell replaced.
With pendulum but no winder.

Catalogue Note
Louis Baronneau, notable horloger de la seconde moitié du XVIIe siècle, reçu maître avant 1649, fournit en 1668 deux pendules et douze montres destinées en présent à l'ambassadeur de Russie. Son fils Joseph poursuivit son activité ; tous deux utilisèrent des caisses d'André-Charles Boulle.
