Condition
Overall the condition of the putti is good with dirt and wear to the surfaces consistent with age. There is worming throughout the putto holding a bowl. There are a number of stable splits to both putti consistent with the material; these include a larger split to the proper right shoulder of the putto with a bowl and a larger split down the proper left side of the other putto's face. There is a set of splits possibly caused by worming to the putto with a bowl's proper right buttock. There are a few naturally occurring knots to both figures, particularly to the back of the putto holding a cornucopia. A few sections appear to have been carved separately, including part of the foot of the putto with a cornucopia. The tip of the cornucopia may be restored. There is a small hole in the top of the head of both putti, possibly for an attachment.

Catalogue Note
