Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are remnants of old lacquers to the surface. There is a hole in the top of the head for a halo (now lost) and mount holes at the hands and feet.

Catalogue Note
Ce Crucifix en bronze est très proche du modèle, grandeur nature, de Giambologna conservé au couvent de Santa Maria degli Angiolini à Florence (Avery, Radcliffe, op. cit. n°. 105). Une attention particulière est donnée au modelage du torse et du perizonium noué sur sa hanche droite.
