Of basketweave design, the thumpiece set with round diamonds weighing approximately 2.80 carats, the interior fitted with a mirror, gross weight approximately 228 dwts, measuring approximately 5½ by 4 by ¾ inches, signed Sterlé Paris, numbered 2657, with French assay marks.

Condition

In good condition, with some very minor discoloration to the gold on the interior, slight denting to the bottom and a tiny amount of warping to the the lid. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, VVS-VS clarity. The bag bears a very nice heft. Signed on the mirror frame. The thumbpiece operates by sliding the diamond-set plaque towards you.
