18 Karat Gold, Platinum and Diamond Necklace With Matching Ring, Van Cleef & Arpels, Circa 1960

The necklace of foliate design set with numerous round diamonds weighing approximately 1.10 carats, gross weight approximately 58 dwts, length 14¾ inches, signed VCA, numbered 98863, with French workshop and assay marks; together with extra links measuring ½ inch; the ring of similar design, set with numerous round diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 carat, gross weight approximately 7 dwts, size 4¼, partially signed VC_, numbered 13302, fitted with sizing spheres.

Both pieces in good condition; the gold is a brighter yellow than depicted in the printed catalogue. The NECKLACE set with 45 diamonds approximately G-H color and VS clarity. All markings on clasp tongue. Very flexible and well made. Fitted with a safety closure. The RING set with 33 diamonds of similar quality. Measures 4 1/4 on the mandrel, but fits more like a 5 1/2 on the finger, due to sizing spheres. Sizing spheres obscure the A in VCA mark.
