The five-stranded necklace composed of 551 pearls graduating in size from approximately 7.7 to 2.9 mm, completed by a clasp centered by a cabochon emerald measuring approximately 12.8 by 11.7 mm, framed within old mine-cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.00 carats, length approximately 16¾ inches.

Condition

In good condition. The pearls have a creamy white body color, well-matched with cleaner skins on the pearls at the front, with the smaller pearls at the back more blemished. Medium bright luster, the largest pearls more ovoid and out-of-round. The emerald is medium-deep, heavily included with a small chip at the bottom edge and some faint surface-reaching inclusions. The clasp set with 14 old mine and old European-cut diamonds, approximately J-M color, predominantly SI-I clarity. Accompanied by GIA report no. 14176852 stating that one of the strands, with 143 pearls, are natural, saltwater. Also accompanied by SSEF report no. 65751 stating that 551 pearls are natural, saltwater.
