Condition
The mounting in good condition overall with gentle surface wear. Slight warping to the mounting at one side. The carved emerald is medium-light slightly bluish green. Heavily included as typical of the type, but highly transparent and with minimal surface-reaching inclusions. Some chipping along the edges but not readily apparent. The skillfully executed carving is in low-to-mid relief and remains crisp. The emerald is slightly loose, but secure. The calibré-cut sapphires are medium blue and lightly included to eye-clean. The emeralds are medium slightly bluish green and moderately included. Signed near the base of the pendant-hook. Please note that one calibré-cut emerald is missing from the brooch and it will be repaired for the purchaser by Sotheby's.
