Catalogue Note

First designed by Cartier in 1947, this 'Muslim Prayer-Bead Necklace' was also called an 'Arab Sautoir.' The unique design is inscribed with the name of Allah on a bead which is strategically placed right above the pendant evoking 'an upside down Minaret,' which is the spire of a Mosque used to call worshippers to prayer.
