Description
Composed of five rows of cultured pearls set at the centre with a stylised flower head jewel accented with natural pearls and set with circular-cut and rose diamonds, late 19th Century, length of shortest row approximately 330mm, central jewel detachable, fitted case Nigel Milne.
Condition
Verbal from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory, London, stating that samples of the pearls in the central jewel were found to be natural, saltwater.
Late 19th Century central jewel mounted in silver and gold detachable, could be worn as a brooch, brooch fitting deficient. Natural pearls one with a crack, medium lustre on average, central button pearl slightly misshapen and with textured skin measuring approximately 6.5mm. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 3.50 - 4.00 carats, of mixed colours and clarities. Cultured pearls gently graduated in size measuring from approximately 5.00 - 5.50mm, medium to high lustre, rosé and green overtones. Sliding clasp secure, not marked. Accompanied by a fitted case by Nigel Milne. In very good condition.
