Of cross over design, accented with a cushion-shaped diamond, on a hammered gold mount, sizing beads.

Condition

This lot is offered without a reserve. Mounted in yellow gold. Diamond estimated to weigh approximately 1.90 carats, of J-K colour, I clarity. Ring size not measurable. Signs of normal to extensive wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition.

Catalogue Note

Created in 1923, this jewel is Suzanne Belperron's engagement ring and stands as a perfect illustration of her avant-garde style. It has inspired numerous jewellery designers ever since. The diamond was given to her by Jean Belperron whom she married on July 11th, 1924, at Chapelle-des-Buis.
