Description
Composed of thirty-six graduated round to button-shaped natural pearls measuring approximately 7.00 to 13.55mm, spaced by rondelles set with brilliant-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 7.30 carats, highlighted by a clasp set with a marquise-shaped diamond weighing approximately 1.80 carats, mounted in platinum, length approximately 410mm.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to SSEF report, the natural pearls on necklace are natural, saltwater pearls. Appendix states that this necklace "contains pearls of impressive size (up to 13.55mm diameter), combined with an attractive colour and surface lusture......It is rare to assemble a selection of saltwater natural pearls of this size and quality. Thus, the described pearl necklace is a very exceptional treasure." Please refer to the report and appendix for details. In our opinion, the pearls are off-round to slightly button-shaped to naked eyes, white to cream white colour with slight rosè overtone, good lustre with minor to moderate surface lustre, which are generally not seen when worn and common to natural pearls. Marquise diamond on the clasp weighs approximately 1.80 carat, is about M to N colours, VS clarity. Other round diamonds on the rondelles are about G to I colours, VS clarity.
Condition: Rare pearl necklace of impressive size, vintage mount has signs of normal wear. Two tiny metal stopper close to the clasp is stainless steel, overall in good condition.
