Condition

The canvas is unlined. The picture surface is in generally good condition aside from raised craquelure along the top 3 inches of the visible canvas and a dirty varnish. Under UV light: the red pigments are active. There is a thin horizontal line of inpainting 3 inches below the framed edge that extends across the entire picture plane. A parallel line extends 1 1/2 below from the right edge to the edge of the tree at left; a third line runs parallel between these two lines at the center of the canvas. Two vertical lines extend from the deck of the boat in the background to meet the top most horizontal line.
