Condition
The canvas is unlined. In the current framing, very minor abrasions are visible at the extreme upper edge. There is pigment separation in the blacks and some stable, fine craquelure evident, especially in the whites. There is a very minor loss in the tree trunk at left as well as the sky upper right and 2 very minor losses in the tree roots at lower center. There are small scattered areas throughout the work that are dull to the naked eye; these areas fluoresce under UV light and include the grass in the lower left, the sky at upper left, along the extreme upper edge and throughout the trees.
