Condition
The canvas has been wax-lined and the extreme outer edges have been taped. The colors are rich and the paint layer is nicely textured. Some frame abrasion is apparent to the extreme left and right edges, traced by faint vertical lines of stable cracking the paint layer. Faint lines of cracking are also visible within the white pigment just above the horizon line at center, and just an inch above and to the right faint circular lines of impact craquelure are visible. The paint layer is stable however. Under UV light: certain pigments fluoresce though a masking layer of varnish is difficult to read through. The work is in good condition.
