Catalogue Note

With an Extract from the Archives confirming sale on May 29, 1952 with raised hour markers.

The Ref. 1526 was launched in 1941 and was mainly produced in yellow gold, a few in pink gold and only one known example in stainless steel. In total, approximately 210 examples of this reference were produced. According to our research, this is the first time this particular example has appeared at auction.

The first series was produced in small number with indirect center-seconds indication. The second series, as with the present lot, was made with a subsidiary constant seconds dial combined with date.
