Old glue relining is firm and stable. under extremely dirty and yellowed varnish. overall the paint surface has been rather pressed and abraded, mostly in the sky area and distant landscape. the foreground and figures have been better retained. under ultraviolet: nothing is visible due to the thick, dirty varnish. there could be old retouches underneath, but it is hard to tell.
