Comprising an 18 karat gold evening bag, gross weight approximately 226 dwts, the interior fitted with a mirror, measuring approximately 6¼ by 3¾ by 1⅝ inches, signed Tiffany & Co., Italy; an 18 karat gold compact set with numerous square emeralds, gross weight approximately 89 dwts, measuring approximately 3 inches in diameter, the interior fitted with a mirror and powder puff, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered NY 28034-3, one emerald missing; an 18 karat gold lipstick holder of basketweave design set with square emeralds, gross weight approximately 32 dwts, signed Van Cleef & Arpels NY, numbered 451 SO; a 14 karat gold lipstick holder of textured gold design set with round rubies, gross weight approximately 22 dwts, mongrammed 'E,' signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered NY 26417.
Condition
In overall good condition. The evening bag has a nice heft and no noticeable denting to the exterior. Signed under the mirror, also with Italian registry marks and a scratch number. The compact shows slight denting on the underside, the emeralds are a bluish green with some significant scratching and chipping to the surface. The matching lipstick holder has emeralds of similar quality and still has lipstick inside. The second lipstick holder has rubies of a deep, purplish-red color, moderately to heavily included with abrading along the girdles.
