Catalogue Note

This pattern, depicting 'The Three Friends': prunus, pine and bamboo, is derived from a Japanese Arita original of 1695-1720, an example of which is illustrated by Masako Shono, Aritaporzellan als Vorbild für Meissen, pl. 71, along with a similarly decorated Meissen tureen.
