Catalogue Note

Betsy Russell Churchill (b. 1823) was the daughter of Charles Churchill (1792-1874) of Plymouth. In 1854, she married, as his second wife, Nathaniel Wood (1814-1888) who owned a nail factory. They had one son.

Betsy Russell Churchill (1823-1909) was one of five children born to Charles Churchill and Abigail Russell. (Additional information provided by Carol and Stephen Huber).
