Shirvan Rug, 158 by 125cm; 5ft. 2in., 4ft. 1in., Illustrated in catalogue. With stylised three pole strapwork motif against azure blue ground, and corner spandrels. Generally even 2mm pile, with small areas down to foundation due to old moth damage (one corner), and due to wear (for example within area of central medallion). Damage to one corner (see bottom left of photograph). Original side cords with loose section. Original knotted fringe with losses, both ends. Generally fair condition. Small decorative piece. Shirvan Rug, 160 by 125cm; 5ft. 3in., 4ft. 1in.,Not illustrated in catalogue - illustrated on-line. Dark blue ground to main field, with three lozenge motifs. Generally even 2mm pile. Some stringing and wear to foundation within the main field blue ground, and two small vertical splits near central lozenge. Some white surface marks, as visible in the image, across the central lozenge. Small hole in yellow/red border. Small hold near edge of central lozenge. Losses to both ends, with all corners damaged, as visible in the photograph, and corners at one end especially damaged. The other end with more even damage, vesitges of fringe, and hand repairs in the corners.
