Description
- mahogany
each with an oval back, with a pierced quatrefoil motif above a loose cushion seat and outward scrolled open arms, the seat-rail carved with an ogee motif on sabre legs
Provenance
Palais D'Orsay, 15th February 1978, lot 103 (formerly in the collection of Daniel Brunot).
Condition
In overall very good condition. Joints sound and sturdy. Old minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with age and use. The Restauration chair is of a lighter colour than the other. The blocks beneath the Empire chair are slightly lose and would benefit from being re-glued.
