Condition
The canvas has an effective relining which has not overly flattened the paint surface which is secure and dirty under a yellowed varnish. Some of the browner tones in the trees are abraded but structurally the canvas appears sound. Inspection under UV light reveals minor scattered retouchings, for example to the back of the deer lower right. Offered in a later hand-painted wooden frame with minor losses.
