  • CALLIGRAPHY IN SEAL SCRIPT
  • ink on paper, hanging scroll, set of six
each signed, four dated as wuchen (1868) of the Tongzhi reign, gengwu (1870), or the ninth year of Tongzhi reign (1870), all dedicated to Zhang Bingyan (circa 1826-1905), and each with two to three seals of the artist

Condition

- Overall in good condition. - A couple of minor paper loss with the largest one measuring 0.7 X 0.8 cm, and the illustrated color appears to be more intense than that of the actual calligraphy for Zhao Zhiqian piece. - Traces of light stains can be found on Li Wentian piece. - Overall the illustrated colors appear to be in a greenish tone.
