Catalogue Note

Artist's inscription:
Crossing borders, rivers and mountains are excellent, the winds of civilization complete heaven and earth. To the south we overlook the cave of Yu [founder of the Xia dynasty], to the west the Pengying [islands of the immortals]. At ease with the double peaks nearby, I lay down some leftover verses. In the hearts of the people, abundant love and respect, with small comfort, lifelong sentiment. [Written while] stopping over in Hangzhou.
