Tang Yin 1470-1524

Artist's inscription:
The scholar Lu Guan was the King's teacher, but his life was like that of a long concealed tortoise. Days passed over his balcony illuminating the fields of the kingdom, and currents flowed by the studio emptying with a tone into larger rivers. The sky opened a moat around the northwest of the city, and the land to the southeast formed an embankment. Lifting his head to the mountains that surrounded him was in fact like seeing the sad state of his own affairs.
