signed Jianmen Qiaozhe Shiguzi Wang Hui, inscribed 'During the first ten days of the eighth lunar month of the year xinyou (1681), I copied Beiyuan's (Dong Yuan) "Rain Clearing over Summer Mountains" . With one seal of the artist, wang hui si yin, and nine collectors' seals including six of Li Enqing, one of Pan Laichen, and two of Jiang Gusun, ji yun shen ding zhen ji, ji yun, li shi zhen mi, lai chen, gu sun jian cang, jiang zu yi. -The painting went through some restoration, which can be seen in the illustration
-The condition of the painting is fair and stable due to the well carried-out restoration
-The actual colors of the painting appear to be in a lighter tone than those of the illustration
