Description

each decorated with shaped panels enclosing ladies in fenced gardens, framed above and below by large floral blooms against a trellis ground, the neck painted with young boys, the domed covers with matching decoration and surmounted by gilt and lacquered Buddhist lion finials

Condition

One vase has been broken in half horizontally to the middle and poorly repaired. The other vase is in good condition, but both have some minor chips to the interior rim and some wear to the glaze due to rubbing from the covers. There are areas of pink enamel loss to the vertical borders to the figurative panels and some rubbing to the iron-red key fret bands at the rim. One cover has a wooden replaced lion finial and a star crack to the interior. The other cover has a 22.5cm restored crack.
