the deep sides flanked by a pair of lion mask handles, painted to the exterior with pheasants standing amongst peony above a band of scattered floral sprays and moulded lotus petals, the interior with flowering sprays issuing from pierced rocks

Condition

This monteith is restored in three places to the rim (13cm by 8.5cm, 9cm by 6cm and 6cm by 3cm). Threre are also a number of areas of restoration to the foot. There is frittnig to the interior rim and wear to the glaze to the well and to the interior base. There are minor areas of glaze crawling to the exterior foot.
