the compressed globular body rising from a splayed foot to a tall flaring neck with lipped rim, carved to the exterior with archaistic taotie masks and C-scrolls, all below a band of upright cicada lappets, the stone of an olive-green tone suffused with lighter inclusions and mottled with black

Condition

The zhadou is in good condition with the exception of a circa 8mm., wide section of shallow polish to the rim.
